It is with great sadness that the club has to announce the death of Brian Beck, one of our vice presidents. He passed away peacefully on 31st January 2025, aged 95 years.

He was the beloved husband of the late Jo, Dad, Father-in-law, Grandad, Great Grandad and friend of many, especially at the rugby club where he played for many years. He is at the top right of the picture that was taken  twenty years ago when former colleagues got together to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the club.

I remember him telling me about playing with my father, for he always had a story to tell in the clubhouse. Lewes Rugby Club meant a lot to him and when his player days were done he became a life-long supporter.

The funeral service to be held at St Anne's Church, Lewes on Tuesday 25th February at 12.00pm. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to 'WRAS' may be made online at www.gracefuneraldirectors.co.uk

Alterntively, cheques made payable to the charity may be sent by post to Grace - Independent Funeral Directors, The Weald, Broyle Place, Ringmer, BN8 5SD, Tel: 01273 813333.
